Located in the ‘Garden of Scotland’, Blackaddie House Hotel has world class artisan suppliers on its doorstep. The food we serve will only ever be as good as the raw ingredients we are able to buy. Ian has always been passionate about using local produce where and whenever possible and believes good suppliers need as much recognition as possible. We are proud to work with these passionate people and share their superb produce with our customers.


Clash Farm Rare Breed Pork

Clash Farm are passionate about producing fantastic tasting pork and pork products from meat that has been raised using high welfare and ethical practices.

Specialising in Pedigree Saddlebacks, all of their animals are allowed the freedom to follow their natural behaviours and live in family groups, and this results in the best pork you will ever taste.

Marrbury Smoked Salmon

In 1996, Vincent & Ruby Marr set up Marrbury Smoked Salmon. Since then Vincent has been producing for Michelin starred chefs, royalty, celebrities & movie stars.  Vincent still hand produces every single item of food which goes out of his smokery, set amidst the Galloway Hills. 

His unwavering dedication to quality combined with his immense skill shines through in his outstanding product which we are delighted to include on our menu at Blackaddie House Hotel.

Crafty distillery

There is so much choice in gin these days, but if you haven’t tasted Crafty Distillery’s Hills and Harbour yet, you are in for a treat.

Based in Newton Stewart, Crafty like to do things properly, so they make their own wheat base spirit from local grain. This adds a smooth mouth feel and delicate sweet flavour to the base of their gin. So pop into the bar before your dinner and try a refreshing glass of this wonderful local gin.


Loch Arthur Cheese

Loch Arthur’s award winning, organic dairy products have earned them the enviable reputation as one of Scotland’s most best artisan creameries.

From their humble beginnings in 1985, making cheese from from the milk of two Jersey and two Ayrshire cows, they now have a purpose built creamery and have become a recognised and sought after brand of cheese across the UK.


Nith Valley Eggs

Stuart Rutherford began Nith Valley Eggs in 2008 and since then under his watchful eye it has successfully expanded. It is now set in a thirty acre woodland farm where the hens have the freedom to roam through the bracken and bushes.

These happy hens produce some of the best eggs in Scotland!


Blackaddie’s Kitchen Garden

At Blackaddie we try to grow as much of our own produce as possible from our small garden and greenhouse so that our guests can enjoy the freshest of seasonal produce.

Guests are most welcome to visit the garden and if our gardener Julie is around she will be delighted to show you what we have growing and ready for your plate!


Pieroni & Sons Fishmongers

Pieroni & Sons are third generation fishmongers based in Ayr. They are passionate about sustainable sourcing and delivering the very best seafood from Scottish waters. They buy daily from local fishermen and have been Scottish Fishmonger of the Year Award 2015, 2016 & 2017.

Their wild halibut is a particular favourite of ours!
