Dog Friendly

Not only are dogs welcome here at Blackaddie they are positively encouraged.

Here at Blackaddie Country House Hotel in South West Scotland not only are we a pet friendly hotel but we welcome our four legged friends as much as we do their two legged partners. We too are dog owners and know only too well that many people like to bring their dogs with them. Be it the family pet or a working dog too all are welcome.

There are lots of walks in the area making us a perfect dog friendly hotel and retreat for all dogs and their owners.

Situated as we are, surrounded by the rolling hills of Dumfriesshire dogs, of all shapes and sizes are well catered for at our pet friendly hotel with some great local countryside to explore.

There is a small charge for dogs of £5.00 per day, and we can provide drying towels and a doggy bed as well as dog food on request if required. 

From the hotel there is a path that takes you and your dog along the river, a peaceful walk with the chance of seeing a salmon too.

Other walks in the area include the walk up the Euchan River to the salmon leap where lots of salmon can be seen leaping the fall at the right times of the year.

Of course we are also on the Southern Upland way so great walking abounds in whichever direction you head in.
